The Rock Hotel
The Rock Hotel is a contemporary vision breathing new life into seemingly ancient rocks and infusing them with modern elegance - a harmonious integration of a hotel within its natural surroundings.
Perched atop a verdant hill, The Rock Hotel offers a captivating retreat into Albania's coastal paradise. This lush sanctuary invites travellers to embark on an enchanting journey along its winding nature trail. From this vantage point, guests are greeted by an awe-inspiring panorama of the Adriatic Sea, where the waves gently embrace Jali Beach and Folie Marine, engaging in a timeless dialogue with age-old rocks.
The concept for The Rock Hotel was born from a desire to echo this dialogue, crafting natural-like volumes seamlessly integrated into the landscape's contours. These organic shapes create intimate spaces that forge a profound connection between humans and the land. A playful interplay of solidity and light accentuates and frames breathtaking sea views. The facade mirrors natural rock formations, while landscape elements and vegetation envelop guests in a sense of immersion in nature.
Outdoor social spaces such as pools, terraces, and restaurants are artfully arranged to emulate natural breaks in the landscape, inviting guests to feel as if they've stumbled upon hidden, unique, and special places. Meanwhile, hotel rooms and interior spaces are meticulously designed to take advantage of the solid and open principle by organising its internal spaces according to their programmatic needs. Common areas afford expansive views, whereas private zones, like the spa, offer discreet peeks to the outside world, ensuring privacy without sacrificing connection to the surroundings.
Despite its newness, The Rock Hotel exudes a timeless quality, as if the structure has always been an integral part of the landscape, repurposed into a serene retreat that seamlessly blends with its natural setting.
