The World Trade Center Miami site presents an opportunity to position the City of Miami at the forefront of business and global trade by consolidating the offices, personnel, and operations of world trade organizations in one of the most highly visible and attractive Gateway destinations in the world. Located a stone’s throw from downtown Miami and adjacent to Port Miami, the World Trade Center will become the anchor of a vibrant, mixed-use neighborhood.
The Master Plan is designed to leverage the many economic and strategic advantages that are generated with a World Trade Center by incorporating its program and construction with the creation of a new and vibrant urban neighborhood based on Smart Growth Principles. The development will provide employment, exhibition space, shopping, dining and living within a pedestrian friendly environment, connected to the rest of the Port and City of Miami by car, transit, rail, and walk.
