Norman’s Cay, Bahamas
Norman’s Cay is an island within the Bahamas’ Exuma chain characterized by pristine white sand beaches, rocky coral cliffs, lush vegetative hills, crystal clear water, and abundant animal and marine life. This design for an exclusive resort located within this literal paradise, seeks to preserve and accentuate the island’s beauty, while simultaneously providing the luxurious elements required of a world-class destination. The architecture, composed primarily of locally sourced materials, remains hidden within the islands topography, revealing itself only at strategic vantage points. Elegant structures of stone, wood, and glass are placed carefully within the site to optimize views and guarantee privacy, providing the ultimate setting for living in such an idyllic environment.
