Marie-Pierre Pare has been working as a project manager and designer for international firms in Montreal and Miami. She has worked on the design of a wide variety of buildings from residences, restaurants, condominium towers, commercial buildings, car dealerships to a multifunctional center. She has also been involved in various charrettes of design competitions where she has worked on new urban developments, libraries, hospitals and stadiums.
Miss Pare holds a Master in Architecture from Laval University in Quebec City. She is LEED AP BD+C and has developed her knowledge in sustainable design with a Master in Science of Architecture. She has studied passive strategies in architecture for the health and experience of the occupants in regards to different microclimates at the scale of the building or the entire city. She has also been working at the Research Group in Physical Ambiances as a consultant where she has developed tools to solve sustainable issues in architecture. She has also helped putting together and giving classes as a teacher assistant at the Bachelor and the Master of Architecture at Laval University: Architecture and Environment, Expression of light in Architecture, Physical ambiances and design workshop, Architectural and urban physical ambiances. In this current quest for sustainability, Marie-Pierre Pare stands up as a responsible agent for change.
